about Michael Rosenthal:

     Michael Rosenthal is an accomplished artist, designer, and gallery owner whose career bridges contemporary art and sustainable design. Having lived and worked in diverse regions such as New York, Vermont, and California, Rosenthal has significantly impacted the art world through his unique blend of creativity and technical expertise.

     Rosenthal's career is also marked by his early involvement in the Earth Day movement in 1969 while at the Parsons School of Design. This experience shaped his commitment to sustainability in his artistic and construction projects.

     In Vermont, he is known for designing and building the Burlington Community Boathouse, working directly with Mayor Bernie Sanders on the project. The Boathouse has become Burlington's visual and community icon.

     In California, He has been an influential figure in the San Francisco Bay Area, mainly through his role as Associate Vice Provost for Capital Planning and Management at Stanford University, where he guided major projects in architecture and construction and as the owner of Michael Rosenthal Contemporary art in San Francisco and Redwood City, CA.

      As the owner of Michael Rosenthal Gallery, he has curated and showcased a selection of contemporary art, supporting emerging and established artists. His gallery is a testament to his dedication to the arts, providing a space where innovative ideas and traditional craftsmanship intersect. The gallery participated four times in satellite art fairs at Art Basel Miami. In New York City, it participated in the Pulse Art Fair with a solo exhibition of Megan Whitmarsh's " Dream Office," which was acquired by The West Collection, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
